The University of Economics, Prague (UEP) was established in 1953. It offers education to its 16.000 students at 6 faculties: Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Faculty of International Relations, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Informatics and Statistics, Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Management in Jindřichův Hradec. UEP ranks as the best “business schools” in Central and Eastern Europe by Eduniversal.

The Faculty of Business Administration belongs to most respected business schools Central and Eastern Europe. Two programs of the faculty appear in Financial Times ranking of world’s best managerial education programs. With its nine departments the faculty aims to provide top quality education for managers of both commercial and non-profit companies as well as entrepreneurs. Besides bachelor, master and doctorate degrees the faculty offers MBA program with FIBAA accreditation.

The Department of Entrepreneurship aims to be leading educational, research and consulting center for entrepreneurship within the Czech Republic. The Department’s main focus is on start-ups and innovation management. Besides providing courses for major specialization in Management, the department offers minor specialization in Entrepreneurship. Members of the Department have participated in major international entrepreneurship and innovation related projects, such as Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, CID (6th FP), CUPESSE (7th FP), PSED and others. The Department organizes annual Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship and Corporate Sustainability conference and closely cooperates with xPort – business incubator of UEP.
